Dr. Samuel Shatkin Jr. of the Aesthetic Associates Centre is a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Western New York region specializing in cosmetic and aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, breast and body. Samuel Shatkin Jr., MD is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and performs all aspects of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
He specializes in creating a customized approach to looking your best, which may include using multiple modalities which Dr. Shatkin refers to as ‘Combination Rejuvenation’. He has been in private practice in this field since completing his Plastic Surgery Training in 1989.
His major concentration is in the areas of Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery including Eyelift and Facelift, Facial Rejuvenation, Nasal Surgery, Body contouring and Mommy Makeover tummy and Cosmetic Breast Surgery, Laser Skin Resurfacing and Injectables.
He is the only Plastic Surgeon in the world to have received the coveted 5-Star Diamond Award from the American Association of Hospitality Sciences and to date, the only Medical Doctor to have received the coveted Buffalo-Niagara Business Ethics Award which he and his team received in 2017.
Dr. Rose Berkun is an anesthesiologist in Western New York. She received her medical degree from University at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. She is also an owner and president of Northeast Ambulatory Anesthesia,PLLC, office based anesthesia practice.
Dr. Berkun is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and SUNY at Buffalo Anesthesiology Residency. She is Past President of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA)
Michelle is a Dermatologic Physician Assistant that has been in the skincare industry for 10 years. Prior to her joining the Aesthetic Associates team in 2013, she is an expert in skin care management and worked previously in the Dermatology Clinic at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Michelle excels in creating aesthetic natural balance with her facial treatments and injectables. She has been credentialed in all aspects of Cosmetic Skin Care, and manages our Laser Services as well as helps to develop protocols which are essential for ideal healing of our surgical and laser patients.
Michelle is an instructor of the Aesthetic Learning Academy, training health professionals on the safety and technique of aesthetic injectables.

Lily has developed skills in clinical and educational environment, focusing on skicare treatments and client assessment and analysis. She specializes in skincare regimens and effective product recommendations. She prides herself in her unique areas of facial massage techniques. In addition to Esthetics, she is Clean Touch Certified and was a top graduate of The Salon Professional Academy with skills in performing basic and advanced facials, microdermabrasion, microcurrent, chemical peels and other aesthetic services.

Kay has been with the Aesthetic Associates Centre since 1998. She is a licensed aesthetician with a medical associate’s degree. Kay takes skin care very seriously. She feels it is easier to prevent than correct skin care flaws.

She is also patient care coordinator for surgical patients and performs Medical Aesthetic treatments including Botox and filler injectables, laser treatments and skin care treatments. She is the Nutritional Consultant for the practice and is certified Nutritional Counselor, managing TLS weight loss programs and supplements for surgical and skin care patients.
In addition to all of the above, Kathy is an instructor of the Aesthetic Learning Academy, training health professionals on the safety and technique of aesthetic injectables.
Another one of his many accolades, Dr. Shatkin in Buffalo, New York has been named one of “America’s Best Plastic Surgeons” in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
