What is a Mommy Makeover?

So many patients come into the office and say, what is a mommy makeover? Mommy makeovers are basically any procedure that would create some changes to the body or the breasts after a woman goes through pregnancy and deliveries. This could relate to breast surgery or tummy surgery, liposuction, or just reshaping of the breast or the body. The procedures that we perform would be a breast lift or breast augmentation.

There’ll also be an option for tummy tuck, which will help tighten the muscles of the abdomen, as well as perhaps doing some liposuction at the same time. So what we address when the patients come in for a consultation will be whatever it is that the woman is bothered by related to changes that occur from pregnancy.

Samuel Shatkin Jr., MD is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and performs all aspects of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
