Is Eyelid Surgery Painful?

Watch this video by Samuel Shatkin Jr., MD, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Buffalo, NY as he explains any discomfort you may encounter during and after an eyelid surgery.

For all the procedures that I perform, I would say that eyelid procedure is the easiest and the one that I most like. The reason I like it the most is because it’s a very simple procedure. It’s only about one hour operation for just the upper or just the lower eyelids, and the patients can return to their activity, usually within short notice. Most patients, the stitches are removed in four or five days, and usually that time would be all they would need to stay out of work or any light activity.
