Will I Have Scars from My Breast Augmentation Surgery?
Watch this video by Samuel Shatkin Jr., MD, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Buffalo, NY as he explains the method for concealing scars associated with breast augmentation surgery.
So when I do a breast augmentation, I place the incision underneath the breast in the crease. In most patients, you don’t even see that, even with clothing off. But certainly when you’re wearing clothing or a bathing suit, that would hide the incision, ideally, but the scars will still be there.
Any time we do a surgical procedure, we have to leave a scar. But in the case of the breast augmentation, with silicone implant, the incision is about two inches placed right up underneath the breast. So it’s easily concealed.
