When Dr. Shatkin started in practice in 1989, most patients knew little about facial injections and even plastic surgeons had minimal use of products to add volume or augment the facial features. Original injectable materials were in the form of collagen injections. Most of these injections required skin testing and 2-4 weeks to see the effect prior to injecting larger volumes.

New products have evolved and currently, we perform a multitude of different fillers to accommodate the needs of the patient. At the Aesthetic Associates Centre, we utilize only FDA approved injectables.

The cost will vary depending on what areas are treated and how much product is used.

Juvederm

This is a great product to use for deep lines and furrows on the face, especially around the mouth, and for adding fullness to the lips.

Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration.

We ease Juvederm injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel so everyone will notice (but no one will know)!

Restylane®

Restylane® can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose
to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement. The various choices in this product line give many options for treatment depending on what areas need enhancement or correction.

Sculptra®

Collagen is a key structural component that keeps skin youthful looking and smooth.

Sculptra® Aesthetic works to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds,* as it replaces lost collagen, which can help provide a refined, more youthful looking appearance.

On average, three injection sessions are needed over a period of a few months. The number of injection sessions and the number of injections per session vary from person to person.
